Coach James G. Anderson was the man for whom Marshfield's football stadium has long been named.

Coach Anderson was the head football coach, head basketball coach, and athletic director at Marshfield High School. He worked at MHS for 32 years before retiring in 1980.

He was also a beloved figure in the community for many years as the director of Camp Daniel Webster in Marshfield.

Coach Anderson died in 2006 at age 84.
